Material Donations

Do you have a piece of history tucked away in your attic or a family heirloom that holds special significance? We welcome donations of various sizes, from individual items to entire collections, that contribute to our understanding of Slovenian culture and the immigrant experience. Your gifts help us expand our collections, enhance our exhibitions, and deepen our visitors’ understanding. By sharing your treasures with us, you become a valued partner in preserving and promoting our shared cultural legacy.

What We Accept

We gratefully accept donations of objects that align with our mission to preserve and share Slovenia's vibrant cultural heritage, including the following:

  • Fine art: Paintings, sculptures, works on paper, textiles, ceramics, decorative arts, and other objects that reflect Slovenian artistic traditions or themes related to the immigrant experience.

  • Printed materials: Publications, manuscripts, maps, and other printed works that document Slovenian history, literature, language, and traditions.

  • Photographs: Vintage photographs, negatives, slides, and albums depicting Slovenian life, landscapes, events, and individuals.

  • Cultural materials: Everyday objects, artifacts, documents, and ephemera that offer insights into Slovenian culture, traditions, customs, and the immigrant experience.
