Description

This exhibition showcased the oeuvre of noted Slovene painterTomaž Izidor Perko. Born in 1947 in Ljubljana, the artist spent his youth in Kamnik, where he completed his elementary and high school education. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and graduated in 1971; he also completed postgraduate studies in restoration and conservation there with Professor Mirko Šubic. Since 1981 Perko has lived and worked near Cerknica. He has exhibited in Toronto, Vancouver, Stuttgart, Hangzhou, Vienna, and Dubrovnik, among other cities. Perko was the subject of an exhibition at the National Museum of Slovenia in May 2013 and has received many awards and prizes for his works.
